May Day – May Day (Critical Updates!)

Wildcat Families,

I sure hope that each of you are doing fabulous and hanging in there. Let’s finish our school year strong! I’ve got three critical end of year updates.

#1 – Student Item Pick Up & Chromebook Check in – Crimson View teachers and staff will be on-site on May 18 & 19. In order to spread out and adhere to current Covid-19 safety guidelines (https://coronavirus.utah.gov/utahs-moderate-risk-phase) please try to come during your assigned time. This time is for students to be able to pick up classroom items, return Chromebooks, return library books, and drop off a thank you note to your teacher! Times are assigned alphabetically by last name.
Monday, May 18 – 9~10am A-B — 10~11 C-E — 12~pm1 F-H — 1~2pm I-L
Tuesday, May 19 – 9~10am M-P — 10~11 Q, R, T, U, V — 12~1pm S — 1~2pm W-Z
*Of course, if you can’t make your scheduled time, please come when you can!!
**Please don’t forget the Chromebook charging cable

#2 – Class Placement for 2020-21 School Year & Parent Input – Our school staff including myself, Tiffany Porter our learning coach, Jaimie Emett our school counselor, current classroom teachers are working on class placement for our students. Much time and effort is dedicated to ensuring a classroom placement that will allow each student to thrive academically and socially. Parent input is also considered when making class placement. If you desire, please take a moment to complete the parent input form by clicking on the following link: No Longer Available — students & families will receive an email in August notifying them of classroom placement. If you have any questions regarding classroom placement, please contact me directly.

#3 – End of Year Celebration! Wednesday, May 20 – We invite all Crimson View Wildcat families to participate in our end of year celebration by grade level. This will be a “drive by” event. Load up your water soaking devices and drive by during your grade levels assigned time to cool off your teachers, school staff, and principal. Similar to our parade that was held a few weeks ago, we invite families to come have a laugh and say goodbye to our 2019-20 School year as we send it to summer!!! Here is the schedule:
K @ 12:00pm — 1st @ 12:30pm — 2nd @ 1:00pm — 3rd @ 1:30pm — 4th @ 2:00pm — 5th @ 2:30pm

Thanks to everyone for making the best of a challenging situation! I know our teachers have worked hard to make our “at-home” learning work as well as possible for each of you. I know that parents have been supportive and worked extremely hard as well. And I want to especially give a shout out to our students!!! Way to go! I’m so proud of each of you for doing your best to make this work! I can’t wait for things to get back to our new normal. I’ve been amazed by some of the awesome things you’ve accomplished that teachers have shared with me. Thank you for giving your best effort. We’ve got a couple of weeks left … let’s finish strong. My constant plea will be to read each day, even during the summer!!

Keep smiling, keep working hard, you are amazing!
