School Community Council – We need you!

Aug 21, 2019

Wildcat Families,

Every public school in Utah has a School Community Council. The councils are made up of school employees who are elected by employees and parents who are elected by parents of students attending the school. Membership terms are for two years. Elections are held at the beginning of each school year. Parent members must have a student attending the school at least one of the two years of their term of service. Employees must be employed by the school district at the school. For more information please visit: www.schoollandtrust.org. This year our initial Community Council meeting will be held at:
➔ 3:45pm – Thursday, September 12

The agenda and additional information can be found on our school website. (https://cves.washk12.org/community-council) We need your thoughts, input, and ideas. If you would be willing to serve on our Crimson View Elementary School Community Council please contact Mr. Baker before September 12th (email: adam.baker@washk12.org or phone: 435-634-7000).

All School Community Council meetings are open to the public and all are welcome to attend. What a School Community Council is responsible for the creation of our School LAND Trust Plan. This plan is created annually by analyzing our school testing data to determine the greatest academic need. The money our school receives from the School LAND Trust fund is allocated according to our plan. Plans are written to help meet the needs of each student. Crimson View Elementary has received over $300,000 since funds have been dispersed to Utah schools beginning in 2001. These funds have been allocated and used at our school to help meet our greatest academic need. Over the years our school has purchased technology to support student learning, books for our leveled library, math manipulatives, science materials, and we’ve been able to hire additional personnel to support targeted learning in small groups. Thank you for your support of our school and our efforts to improve your children’s education.

Thank you for all you do to help make Crimson View such an amazing school.
