Aug 10, 2021 – Back to School Info

Welcome Back Wildcats!

Our entire faculty and staff are so excited to welcome you back to school. I want to share three quick reminders:

  1. Student Safety – It’s always #1 – However you get to school, start on day one with safety in mind. If your student will bike/scooter/walk to school please walk the route with them, discuss how to be safe at intersections and on the roads around the school. Make sure your student understands how important safety is. If you are driving, make sure you are extra careful on the surface streets around our school. Please be on board with our parking lot arrival/dismissal plan and keep that line of traffic moving — safely! DO NOT park and walk through traffic, or encourage your child to walk through traffic. Only cross at designated crossing areas.
  2. Routines – Begin them on day 1 – if you plan to ride the bus, have your child ride the bus on day 1. This helps them know the bus driver, know the stop they will need to exit at after school, and gives them the confidence to be successful with the extra support available on day 1. Same thing with school lunch, we have extra support on the first few days, if your child may eat during the year, eat the first few days just to get to know the routine while there is extra support helping all the students. Students will enter classrooms from the exterior classroom entrance again this year. That will start on day one.
  3. Attendance – ALL day EVERY day! – Please do all you can to have your child arrive at school on time and stay through the entire school day. Early check outs, late arrivals, not attending regularly can make success at school extremely challenging. Our teachers work extra hard to plan meaningful learning activities for each day, the best learning will take place with on time, regular, all day attendance.

We’re rolling out the red carpet for our back to school night. See you then!

PTA will have a table with information on programs and how to get involved at Crimson View at Back To School Night Wednesday.  Please stop by and ask any questions or take the time to sign up for a committee on Sign Up Genius.  There is no pressure to do more than you feel like you can in your time and season, but please know we value any input and want to help meet any needs of you and the students in our community.

Theme: “Better Together!”

There will also be sign-ups in your child’s classroom with opportunities to help in the class and holiday fun throughout the year.  Even if you can’t commit to help, Please make sure you  sign your name and email so that room parents have permission to send you information.

P.A.W. Patrol:
Are you a dad of a Crimson View student and want to be more involved with your student at school?  If so, Crimson View P.A.W. Patrol is for you (Pa’s Always Watching). You can sign up to come any school day at lunch time to “Patrol” and play with the students on the playground.  You must check into the office and be wearing a P.A.W. Patrol shirt so the students know who you are and why you are there.  If you do not have a shirt, you can purchase one for $10 in the school office. There is no long-term commitment, but the students love having their “P.A.W.’s”  participating on the playground with them as positive role models.  If you have any questions about PAW Patrol contact Shelly Traveller at

Crimson View School T-Shirts
T-shirts should be available at a table Wednesday night if they were pre-ordered.  If you haven’t had a chance to order a shirt yet, there will be samples available Wednesday to size up to your child.  You can order your shirt at:  Students are encouraged to wear school shirts or school colors each Friday!  Orders can be placed with a check if brought Wednesday night.
