First Day & Two Reminders
Wildcat Families —
I’m so happy to have our school full of students and the sounds of school again! It is wonderful and makes my heart happy.
It’s been a great start! Students seem to be happy and enjoying the new school year, new teachers, new friends, new clothes and everything else that comes with a fresh school year start. I want to share two quick reminders:
- Arrival & Dismissal Parking Lot Safety: CLICK HERE – please review the information at the link and always be extra safe and cautious in and around our school.
- School Schedule Review: Today is a “normal” day with school from 9~3:30 for grades 1~5. Every Friday this year school will dismiss at 12pm. Lunch will not be eaten at school on Friday or early dismissal days. For those students who desire, they may request a sack lunch from our school lunchroom, and then those students will place the lunch in their backpacks and take it home to enjoy after the 12pm dismissal. This will be the lunch plan for all early release days. Next week, Aug 16~20, will be early dismissal (12pm) each day. Every student should have an individual appointment scheduled for a language arts diagnostic assessment with their classroom teacher. Our regular school schedule will resume on Aug 23. The first day of Kindergarten will also be on Aug 23.
