Major Important Items

Wildcat Families —

Thanks for an amazing Teacher Appreciation Week. Our Teachers & Staff are exceptional, and I appreciate all the kindness that was shared during the past week! We all enjoyed viewing the Solar Eclipse today! That was pretty darn cool! Hopefully each of you were able to break away for a few moments and enjoy some of the wonders happening in the sky above.

Alright, down to business.

Important Item #1: End of Year Assessment
As we wrap the school year all of our students will begin to participate in end of level assessments. If you have a student in 3rd, 4th or 5th Grade, please take a moment and read the following letter regarding the upcoming RISE assessments. ~~RISE PRINCIPAL LETTER~~ Regardless of grade level, please always encourage your student(s) to do their very best here at school. I like to think that our end of level assessments are a chance for us to celebrate all of the learning that has taken place this school year. We’ve come a long way, our performance on assessments can provide strong evidence of all our great learning and teaching! One additional resource to share about testing and doing our best comes from our WCSD Health & Wellness Team – TESTING TIPS

Important Item #2: Parent Input 2024-25 School Year
The Crimson View administration team, your child’s current classroom teacher, other grade level teachers, our school counselor and others will work together to determine the best class placement for all of our students as they move up to the next grade level. Many factors are considered in order to create balanced classes that give every student an opportunity to be successful. If you desire to provide your input please visit our school website (https://cves.washk12.org/) and complete the “Parent Input Form”. Families will be notified of class placement the first week of August via email (make sure we have correct information so you don’t miss out).

The parent input form will be open from Monday, April 8 thru Friday, April 19. Remember to complete a separate form for each of your children.
